22-year-old Macedonian Has Been Threatening Macedonian President Branko Crvenovski Over the Internet

Sofia. 22-year-old Macedonian citizen has been threatening the Macedonian President Branko Crvenovski over the Internet. The young man, a student, has been arrested after a joint action by the Bulgarian National Security Service /NSS/ and the Regional Police Department /RPD/ in the Eastern Bulgarian city of Stara Zagora on 7 December, spokesperson of the National Service For Combating Organized Crime /NSCOC/ Katya Ilieva said for FOCUS News Agency. The man has used the Global network many times to threaten with terrorist acts different foreign citizens, institutions and even a bank. Currently investigation continues and the question whether the Macedonian citizen could be charged on the basis of Bulgarian criminal law is being checked. The young man has defined himself as an anti-globalist during questioning and stated that his actions have been provoked by the current policy. The information has been confirmed by the Secretary General of the Bulgarian Ministry of Interior – Lieutenant-General Boyko Borisov.

The Macedonian Ministry of Interior has confirmed the information that the Macedonian President Branko Crvenovski has been receiving threads over the Internet from the territory of Bulgaria. The Macedonian Ministry of Interior has initiated a check and determined that the treads have come from Bulgarian territory, Spokesperson of the Macedonian MI Goran Pavlovski said for FOCUS News Agency. “The Macedonian police in cooperation with Bulgarian services has uncovered the identity of the author of the threads, who is a Macedonian citizen”, Pavlovski said. “The 22-year-old man has been arrested by Bulgarian police but the question whether he could be charged on grounds of Bulgarian criminal laws is still being checked”, spokesperson of the Macedonian MI added.
According to Goran Pavlovski, Police is still investigating whether the arrested man was acting alone or as part of an organized crime group. Pavlovski added that both Ministries of Interior of Bulgaria and Macedonia maintain permanent contact and cooperate to uncover the case completely.

Skopje. Macedonian President Branko Crvenovski has been receiving threads in a period of 45 days, Skopijan TV channel A1 announced.
